Our Spaces
St. James Montreal offers several multi-use spaces perfect for receptions, presentations, rehearsals, training sessions, meetings and conferences, weddings, launches, study days and much more. It is a place of inspiration, creation, sharing and gathering, open to all.
The St. James square especially caters to cultural, social and artistic groups looking for a presence in the Quartier des spectacles.
The Front Square (5,000 sq ft)
The front square is a gathering place for outdoor shows, symposiums, exhibitions etc. It can be a place for mobile food - at meal lunchtime and evenings. This exceptional venue offers great visibility due to a high car and pedestrian traffic (over 10,000 pedestrians per day).
The Church Sanctuary (8,300 sq ft)
The church sanctuary is laid out in an amphitheatre style that can accommodate 800 people in fixed seating on the main level and another 400 at the sweeping mezzanine level. The space is well appointed for large meetings, concerts or shows. A custom built platform stage can be rented to increase visibility. The grand pipe organ was completely restored in 2021 and has received international recognition.
Dawson Hall (2,380 sq ft)
Just down the hall at the rear of the building on the main floor is the open plan Dawson Hall which is also overlooked by a fixed seat mezzanine. The adjacent Douglas Hall with its catering kitchen and the nearby Richmond room are also available to support other reception needs.
The Churchill Suite (5,000 sq ft)
The Churchill suite comprises the entire third floor of the rear part of the building. It is available for office rental to a cultural, social or artistic organisation seeking space in the Quartier des spectacles. The Churchill room with its soaring vaulted ceiling is part of this suite.
